In 1819, a child was born in a London palace. Caught between two Royal uncles- the king of England and the king of Belgians – she was destined to be a Queen and to rule a great empire, unless she was forced to relinquish her powers and sign a “regency order”. A regent was appointed to govern in place of monarch who was absent, disabled…or too young.
 
“Some people was born more fortunately than others, such was the case with me. But as a child, I was convinced quite the opposite. What a little girl does not dream of growing up to be the princess. And some palaces are not all what you think. Even a palace can be a prison. My mother never explained why she has someone to taste my food, why I couldn’t attend school with other children who read popular books. When my father died, my mum and her advisers’  strong congress agreed to the rules. She said they were for my protection. I could not sleep alone without my mum or even walk down the stairs without holding behind a maid.”

The Princess Diaries 2

The story opens with Mia graduating from college (when we last saw her, she was in high school) and leaving off to Genovia, which her grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews), hopes she to govern someday soon. As in the original “Princess Diaries,” much of the putative comedy involves the free – spirited Mia working in gentle. Because the ugly duckling has already molted into a swan, however, the plot this time around hinges on some minor palace intrigues and romances with two blow-dried suitors who take turns holding the royal hand while keeping a safe distance from the royal chastity. In between the cooing and wooing, the pratfalls and product placements, Ms. Hathaway and Ms. Andrews flash smiles of such dazzling wattage they could carry California through its next energy crisis. more »

The Princess Diaries

The Princess Diaries is a modern fairy tale about Mia (Hathaway) who lives in San Francisco with her divorced mother. One day, her estranged grandmother (Andrews) comes to visit with a proposal for her: She would like Mia to be her successor and become Princess of Genovia. Hilarity ensues because Mia is pretty a typical teen who is clumsy, awkward and in desperate need of a professional makeover, so she spends the next several weeks in etiquette lessons, getting “re-done” and trying to decide if being a princess is what she really wants in life.

Many a teenage girl, struggling with feeling ugly and out of place, dreams of a fairy godmother who will transform her into a princess and take her to the ball. For Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), a gawky 15-year old girl, it’s a living nightmare when she discovers she’s the only heir to the throne of Genovia, a fictional country between Spain and France. more »

Penelope

The Willhern family with great wealth, pure blood        and high status, has been thriving and prosperous        throughout centuries. They are glorious and admired by the public. However, not every fortune blesses this ancient family. A horrible curse was put on the Willherns – the first Willhern daughter will have a face of a pig. The curse never ends until a man saves her with his true love. Penelope is the unfortunate daughter. She is born with a pig face.

Penelope’s parents, Franklin and Jessica have tried their best to protect Penelope. They prevent Penelope far away from the press. On the other hand, they arrange many young men from noble families to meet little Penny. Much to their dismay, no man could stand remaining in the room after they see Penelope’s face-a pig’s nose on the face. Jessica believes it is not Penny’s nose but her grand-grand-grandfather’s. She carries on that kind of activity until one day the secret is looped by one of the young men named Edward. He escapes into a police station, but no one trusts his story there. more »
